Meena Hasan is a visual artist born and raised in New York City, where she now lives and works. She received her B.A. in Studio Art from Oberlin College in 2009. She has exhibited in Ohio, New York City, Rhode Island, Rome and Shanghai. She won third place in the international art competition, Premio Terna 02 in 2009 through which she won and completed an artists' residency at the American Academy in Rome in 2010. She currently works in her studio at the artists' collective called The Gowanus Studio Space in Brooklyn, NY. This coming fall 2011, she will be a candidate for an MFA in Painting at Yale School of Art.
